How to make vegan banana split

There is multiple ways you can make it. One option is to use raw banana as the base, which is what most people do. However, a better way in my opinion, is to bake the banana until it’s a little golden brown and put cinnamon on top. You can never go wrong with banana and cinnamon. I also like the warm banana in company with the cold coconut yoghurt, this gives it a dessert-like taste.

After that, we sprinkle some raw cacao nibs, which are small pieces of crushed cacao beans. They provide an impressive amount of minerals and anti-oxidants and, unlike many other chocolate products, they are low in sugar.

Finish it with granola and your favorite fruits and pour some heated peanut butter on top. And there you have it. You will probably repeat this addicting, healthy recipe the very next day.

Tips to make banana split

Coconut yoghurt goes very well with this recipe. It has many health benefits and makes this recipe vegan friendly. However, if you don’t have coconut yoghurt and don’t mind eating non-vegan food, you can also use regular yoghurt. Regular yoghurt has a more sour taste. You can mix the yoghurt with a tablespoon of honey for more flavor.

In this recipe we use blueberries and strawberries as the fruit topping. I know this is not going to be the only time you are going to make this recipe, since it is very addicting, so you can switch up the ingredients everytime you make it. As a result, the flavor will stay interesting each time. Instead of using blueberries and strawberries you could use blueberries and raspberries as topping, or any other fruit you like.

The combination of peanutbutter and banana is amazing in every recipe, but you can any nut butter for this banana split recipe. I like switching it up with almond butter.
